This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our rental property platform. We are committed to ensuring the privacy and security of your data.
We collect information you provide during registration and application processes
Your data is used to process applications and improve our services
We implement security measures to protect your personal information
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data
EchoPM, Inc. (EchoPM) operates the rental platform at https://echopm.app and related applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use our Services.
This policy applies to tenants, property managers, property owners, applicants, and visitors. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. By using the Services, you agree to this policy.
Geographic focus: EchoPM is primarily designed for rental operations in the United States and Canada. If you access the Services from other regions, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law. Additional rights or obligations may apply in certain jurisdictions as we expand supported markets.
We may collect the following types of personal information:
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
We share information to operate the platform (e.g., with property managers and landlords for applications). We are not responsible for how those parties or any other users use, store, or protect your information. Use of the platform is at your own risk.
We may share your information with the following parties:
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
We use trusted service providers to operate the platform. They process personal information on our instructions and subject to contractual protections. Categories include:
Property Managers may enable additional integrations (accounting, calendars, automation, etc.) that receive data under those providers' privacy policies. We are not responsible for optional integrations you or your organization connect.
When you purchase optional verification or a Property Manager requests screening, our designated screening vendor may collect identifiers, employment and income information, and consumer report data permitted by law. Social Security numbers and similar sensitive data are collected only on the vendor's consent and checkout flow; EchoPM does not store full Social Security numbers in our database.
We store limited screening metadata on your account (such as completion status, summary flags, scores where returned by the vendor, report links, and expiration dates) to power the application workflow. Full consumer reports remain with the vendor or are accessed through vendor-provided links.
Property Managers may view organized screening summaries and vendor reports to support their own rental decisions. EchoPM is a technology platform only: we do not approve, deny, recommend, or score applicants for housing eligibility, and we do not act as a consumer reporting agency. The screening vendor (Turn) acts as a consumer reporting agency or reseller where applicable.
You may have rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including obtaining copies of reports and receiving adverse action notices from the Property Manager who made the rental decision. Property Managers are solely responsible for fair housing compliance, adverse action, and any notices required when they decline or condition tenancy based on a consumer report.
